Animals as Leaders combines influences in metalcore, progressive rock, and jazz into a genre-defying audio experience. What they wanted was a light show that personified their music to broaden their audience base and to show that they are more than just an instrumental group. Taking inspiration from their latest music videos, the band was open to more human and organic shapes. Lee Duck designed the lighting rig with a large circular centerpiece, abstractly representing the sun, outlined with beam lights and intended to mesmerize fans.
